Sustainable Design
ISP Architects share in the increasing concern for the safeguarding and improvement in combating climate change and rising of CO2 levels within our built environment. This concern has been translated into positive action in the acquisition of knowledge in relation to eco friendly practices and the use of this knowledge within projects wherever possible at the outset.
ISP Architects are members of the Association for
Environmentally Conscious Building, and can also provide
invaluable advice in energy saving within building design
with our in-house specialists namely
Gareth Jones, Alison Jones and Craig Baugh.

ISP Architects also provided speculative design of 2 No. industrial units at Bryn Cefni Industrial Estate, Llangefni for WDA, which were one of the first ‘BREEAM’ rated units in North Wales and providing a rating of ‘Excellent’. Each unit providing 20,000sq.ft. of combined office and storage / distribution space.
Through our environmental policy, actively contribute to the incorporation of environmentally friendly features into the nation’s building stock, other notable projects where these policies and sustainability have been applied include:

• Extra Care Development at Awelon, Ruthin - Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd Housing Association.
• Residential Development at Abbey Road, Llandudno - North Wales Housing Association / Limegrove Homes.
In achieving sustainable buildings, Inclusive design is noticeable on our buildings, which means that they have not incorporated special and costly constructions or materials. They represent plain common sense and value for money with the added advantage of rapid pay back to the Client.
ISO 14001
In our quest for continued improvements to our services and better the environment, ISP Architects can announce that we have recently been awarded the BS EN IS0 14001:2004 certification and are now an accredited company. We operate under a certified Environmental Management System in line with our written Environmental Policy.
