We can't believe how long it's been since our latest news item....!
It's been an incredibly busy few months with astonishing achievements, which are:
- We are now BS EN ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certified.
- Awarded 'Investors in People'
- Retained our BS EN ISO
9001:2008 certification.
Projects:
Kingsmills Road Development, Wrexham (Hightwon Flats)
The planning application of a £9m scheme for 92 units of
affordable housing along with a new Community Resource
Centre to replace the now demolished Hightown flats has
been submitted.
Hafod y Park, Abergele
The construction of a £8.5m 49 unit Extra Care Scheme is about to start on site.
Awelon, Ruthin
A £4m Extra Care housing for Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd
has been successfully handed over.
We were also appointed directly by the Client the
interior design and contract furnishing.
St. Davids Hospice, Llandudno
Alteration and extension works are due to start on site in the coming weeks.
Farm Shop & Restaurant, Rhug Estate, Corwen
The £1m new build has been successfully completed by Williams Homes. It was handed over and opened in time for pre-Christmas opening. All the team worked well to achieve the delivery of a building on time and on budget.
Sustainability
2011 saw a large increase in the number of CSH and BREEAM consultations for the firm. The majority of these were for other consultants and reflect evidence of our desire to prepare a pragmatic and simple approach to sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.
With little advertising for this service, all our appointments have come from recommendations !
Our target is to double the number of companies in 2012.
2012....??
Without doubt, 2012 will be a tougher challenge than we have ever faced before, but we go into it with a strong order book and an enthusiasm to improve our service to our Clients !

ISP have commenced the New Year with the good news that they were successful in their tender to assist with a planning application for 23 properties on an “exceptions site” in Presteigne.The client is Mid Wales Housing Association who ISP worked closely with in the past on many schemes and we are looking forward to renewing and continuing the relationship.
The in house expertise in the field of social housing, built up over 25 years , would have been a major consideration in the client's decision making process.

Glyn Valley Tramway Museum – after many months of deliberation by the client, ISP have been given the go ahead to continue their work on the refurbishment of the Existing Engine shed into The Tramway Museum.
ISP Architects have been appointed by S.J. Roberts to provide a Design and Build Service for 10 CSH houses in Shrewsbury for Severnside Housing.
The Code for Sustainable Homes side of our business has received four independent appointments this month to provide services for projects that ISP Architects are not involved in; a testament to the service we offer . One urgent assessment was turned around in 24 hours.

ISP Architects achieve planning permission for a major Affordable Housing Site in Wrexham
Planning permission was granted on 4th October for the demolition of Hightown Flats in Wrexham. This will allow the 60s precast concrete blocks to be replaced with a mix of over 70 “affordable” houses and apartments. This major development will remove what many consider to be an eyesore on this important route to the town centre.

Launch of our new website
Our new website was launched on 30th September 2010. There are some gaps in the information, which we will be filling in the near future but we wanted to provide a better introduction to our business and the services we offer and thought it appropriate that it should be live as soon as possible. We have the go ahead for the £8 m Awel y Mor Extra Care Scheme in Abergele and are in the process of preparing a planning application.

St David's Hospice, Llandudno
We have been appointed to extend St. Davids Hospice. We designed the original 10 years ago, when we were appointed as the result of a competition. The new appointment is again as the result of a competition.
